The Farmer's Letter: May 2024

Hello to all readers.

It is time again for the farmer to add his piece to the pie.

At the farm the animals are all enjoying the outdoors–munching on tall grasses and bedding in the leftovers.

The weather this spring was very favorable for the grasses and the gardens. The asparagus and rhubarb are giving abundantly. The peas and beans are growing. Strawberries are ripening. All honor to God from Whom all blessings flow. We are only stewards of the land and could not prosper without His blessings.

Today we got our first batch of chicks from the hatchery. My brother also raises some chicken for us and his first batch is ready for processing this week. So if the plans work out, we will have fresh chicken this week.

Also this week is the perfect time to kick off the grilling season–just in time for the holiday weekend. We have a wide variety of burgers, including bacon, jalapeño apricot, tomato basil, sweet pepper & onion, mushroom & cheddar, and plain.

Be sure to stop by and stock up for your Memorial Day picnic! Plus check out all our other healthful and mouthwatering options!
